This native grass is bluish green in color, providing a lovely color compliment to the more bright green plants in the garden. After the first frost, it changes to warm brown golden reddish colors with fluffy white seeds and remains through the winter. Excellent for winter garden interest and for wildlife! Little Bluestem provides food for a variety of skippers (flying insects that are like butterflies and moths), grasshoppers, walking sticks, and songbirds.
