Hibiscus sabdariffa. Also called Roselle, Sour Spinach. A member of the hibiscus family, this tangy vegetable has reddish stems and green lobed leaves. Leaves and stems can be cooked, pickled, or eaten raw in salads. The flower buds are red and have an acidic flavor a bit like cranberry. Becasue of the large nature and lonter growing period of the plant, it is offered as a single plant in a 4-inch pot.
