Artichoke: Imperial Star - NEW!

This green artichoke variety does well in the north. Depending on the summer temperatures, plants could produce up to 6-8 artichokes per plant. If you happen to miss your harvesting window, the artichokes will bloom into large beautiful blue flowers. Because of the long growing period and special care artichoke plants require, they are sold as single plants in 4 in. containers. In the garden, plan for at least 4 square feet of growing space per plant.
