Ginger plant
Fresh ginger is a chef specialty! Grow this tropical plant in big containers, or in the ground. Harvest in early fall or "sneak" some pieces off through the summer. Use fresh ginger after harvest for about a week, then freeze or dry the rest for later use!
This tropical plant needs summer heat and sun and doesn't like to be over watered. Ginger pieces will be kept on heat mats and under lights being *gingerly handled *in the grow room for about 3 months this winter before making their transition outside in May to prepare to come home with you!
We harvest ours in October.
